Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Sandton. You will drive process development, lead improvement projects, and mentor junior engineers in a high‑tech manufacturing facility.

Hybrid work model with a focus on safety, quality, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, with proficiency in SPC, FMEA, and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering with process development and optimization.
• Leads continuous improvement and cross-functional projects.
• Proficient in SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and validation of manufacturing processes.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Optimize line performance, equipment utilization and throughput.
• Collaborate with design teams for manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and control strategies.
