Placements24 is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager in Vereeniging to lead a team of engineers and technicians across preventive and predictive maintenance programs. You will drive reliability, safety, and cost efficiency while shaping maintenance strategy and budgets.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering degree with 7+ years in industrial maintenance and at least 3 years in a leadership role, plus strong CMMS experience and automotive sector exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• 7+ years in industrial maintenance.
• 3+ years in a management/supervisory role.
• Proven preventive/predictive maintenance experience.
• CMMS experience (SAP PM, Maximo).
• Automotive manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
• Oversee budget and optimize resource allocation.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for maintenance.
• Implement CMMS for work orders, history tracking, and analysis.
• Conduct RCA for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
