Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join the IT Helpdesk in a hybrid Pretoria/Johannesburg setup. You will be the primary contact for employees, resolving hardware, software, and network issues and ensuring seamless IT operations across the organisation.

You will diagnose problems, configure systems, and maintain documentation while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support product rollouts. A strong support mindset and IT proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-users with hardware, software and network issues.
• Nurture prompt and effective IT support for staff.
• Familiar with incident tracking and escalation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and application software.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to IT systems.
• Document technical procedures, solutions, and user guides.
• Assist with IT asset management and inventory tracking.
