Job summary

Solid Systems in Cape Town is looking for an experienced IT Professional (Level 2) to own client environments, delivering Level 2 remote and onsite support and driving service excellence.

You will handle escalations, perform recurring client visits, and contribute to projects and SOPs. Documentation in IT Glue, Autotask and Nable is required, with time entries and travel hours recorded promptly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ IT support experience in a managed services environment.
• IT qualification and Microsoft certifications.
• Strong technical skills across Microsoft 365, Azure, AD, Exchange, and networking.
• Experience with Mac and Windows operating systems.
• Proven ability to meet and beat SLA targets.
• Clear English communication; ability to explain complex tech simply.
• Driver’s license and own car; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 remote and onsite support for client environments, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Handle escalations from junior IT professionals and act as a subject matter expert (e.g., Mac support, Microsoft environments).
• Conduct recurring client visits, focusing on site improvement plans and break-fix requests.
• Collaborate on projects, follow timelines, and contribute to process improvements and SOP development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tooling (IT Glue, Autotask, Nable) in real time.
• Record (real-time) time entries, travel hours, and submit reports timeously.
• Upskill and support new team members, offering shadowing opportunities.
• Participate in team meetings and drive WOW-factor service.
