About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Instrumentation Technician to join their operational team in Polokwane . This role is essential for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of critical instrumentation and control systems within their industrial facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate measurement and control of processes, contributing directly to the safety, efficiency, and reliability of operations. This is a hands‑on position requiring a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a demanding industrial environment located in Limpopo .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of a wide range of instrumentation and control devices.
• Install new instrumentation and control systems according to technical specifications and safety procedures.
• Diagnose and repair faults in process control loops, sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
• Work closely with engineers and operators to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration results, and spare parts inventory.

Requirements

• National Diploma or N3 Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands‑on experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial setting, preferably within the energy sector .
• Proficiency in calibrating and troubleshooting various types of instruments (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Experience with DCS, PLC systems, and industrial communication protocols is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and working in hazardous environments.
• Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
