The role requires a National Diploma in Instrumentation or related field with 6+ years of industrial experience, strong calibration skills, and the ability to read P&IDs and calibration procedures.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial setting.
• Proficient with transmitters, controllers, and control valves.
• Experience calibrating equipment and understanding measurement principles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair a diverse range of process instrumentation (transmitters, gauges, control valves, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation and control system issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, technical specifications, and calibration procedures.
• Perform routine calibration checks and functional tests to ensure measurement accuracy and system reliability.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior instrumentation technicians.

Our client, a major player in the process control and industrial services sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Technician to join their team based in Sandton . This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement and control systems across various industrial applications. You will be responsible for calibrating, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, as well as control valves and associated systems. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of process instrumentation, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining operational integrity in complex industrial environments within Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair a diverse range of process instrumentation (transmitters, gauges, control valves, etc.).
