Placements24 seeks a Senior Instructional Designer in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to lead blended learning initiatives and develop engaging online and face-to-face learning experiences.

You will collaborate with SMEs to translate complex information into accessible content, apply ADDIE/SAM models, and ensure measurable outcomes. A strong portfolio and senior-level expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or related field.
• Master's degree is a significant advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of instructional design experience with blended learning.
• In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices in instructional design.
• Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience in creating and managing various types of learning content, including digital and facilitator-led materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating successful blended learning projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive blended learning programs, integrating online and instructor-led methodologies.
• Create engaging and effective learning materials, including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and interactive activities.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex information into accessible learning content.
• Develop robust assessment strategies to measure learning effectiveness and impact.
• Utilize instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles to guide design processes.
• Manage multiple instructional design projects from conception through implementation and evaluation.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in instructional design, e-learning, and blended learning.
• Provide guidance and support to facilitators and stakeholders on the effective delivery of blended learning programs.
• Conduct needs analyses to identify learning gaps and propose appropriate blended learning solutions.
• Ensure all learning materials meet quality standards and accessibility requirements.
