Placements24 seeks an innovative Information Security Engineer to join a remote team supporting Centurion operations. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions to protect critical IT assets and data, while mitigating complex cyber threats.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering or CS background, 6+ years in information security, and hands-on experience with cloud and network security, scripting for automation, and certifications such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on information security engineering experience.
• Expertise in network security architecture, cloud security, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and common attack vectors.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or OSCP are strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, deploy, and maintain security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
• Develop and automate security processes and tools.
• Conduct security analyses, risk assessments, and threat modeling.
• Lead incident response investigations, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Collaborate with development and operations to embed security in SDLC/DevOps.
• Research emerging threats and technologies; implement defenses.
