Placements24 is seeking a proactive Information Security Engineer to join a globally distributed, fully remote team. You will implement, manage, and monitor security solutions to protect digital infrastructure and data, identify threats, and ensure system integrity and availability.

Responsibilities include deploying security tech (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM), monitoring for incidents, conducting vulnerability tests, automating security tasks, and refining security policies for a robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on information security engineering or operations.
• Proficiency with security tools: network, endpoint, cloud security.
• Experience scripting for security automation (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM).
• Monitor security infrastructure for anomalies, threats, and incidents.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and pen testing; assist remediation.
• Develop security automation scripts to improve efficiency.
• Respond to and investigate security alerts and incidents; drive timely resolution.
• Contribute to security policies and procedures refinement.
