Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Information Security Engineer to join a global team, designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security solutions from anywhere. You will safeguard digital infrastructure and drive robust security protocols while supporting a remote-first culture.

Ideally, you have 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience, strong cloud security expertise, and proficiency in scripting to automate processes and responses to threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field related to information security.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in information security engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network and cloud security across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting and security automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure including firewalls and VPNs.
• Develop and automate security processes for vulnerability management and incident response.
• Configure security tools across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT to embed security across the system lifecycle.
• Stay current with threats and technologies, proposing proactive measures.
