You will lead safety training, maintain compliance with SA OHS Act, and promote a strong safety culture across operations in Gauteng. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, OHS, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial safety management and risk assessment.
• In-depth knowledge of SA OHS Act and related regulations.
• Experience in safety management systems (ISO 45001).
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Professional safety certification (CSP or NEBOSH) desirable.
• Hybrid work model with on-site Pretoria responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain industrial safety programs and policies.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments of facilities and processes.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for all levels.
• Promote proactive safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and external consultants as needed.
• Maintain safety records and prepare management reports.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.
