Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of process safety engineering experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical
• Strong knowledge of PSM, hazard assessment methodologies, and safety standards
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and their design
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a strong advantage

Responsibilities

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA
• Develop and implement Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and verification
• Manage the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Investigate process safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and deliver process safety training to operational staff
• Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) process for all modifications to processes and equipment
• Maintain safety documentation, including safety procedures, risk registers, and emergency response plans
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors on process safety matters
• Champion a proactive safety culture throughout the organization
