Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join the Midrand-based team and drive operational efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will analyze current systems, identify improvements, and implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to boost productivity and quality.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, mentor junior engineers, and develop SOPs and performance metrics to sustain gains. A strong background in CAD, simulation tools, and ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
5–7 years progressive experience in industrial engineering.
Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
Proficiency with CAD software, simulation tools, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing production processes, workflows, and plant layouts to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement using lean manufacturing principles.
Design, develop, and implement new operational strategies, systems, and equipment to enhance productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and resource allocation analyses to optimize workflow and maximize output.
Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, SOPs, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure new product introductions meet production targets and quality standards.
Lead and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the engineering department.
