Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to drive manufacturing optimization at their Randburg facility. You will analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement lean and data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across multiple production lines.

The role requires a strong background in lean, Six Sigma, and simulation tools, with collaboration across production, quality, and engineering teams. A hybrid work arrangement is offered in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and SPC.
• Proficiency with CAD software and simulation tools (Arena, FlexSim).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Develop and implement lean initiatives and Six Sigma projects.
• Design and optimize factory layouts, material flow, and workstation ergonomics.
• Develop and maintain production standards, work instructions, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
• Utilize statistical analysis and simulation tools to model/process performance.
