Job summary

Kontak Recruitment in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Account Manager to own a strategic ICT client portfolio and act as a trusted technology advisor. You will drive relationships from CTO to technical teams and ensure growth in value and revenue.

The role combines technical understanding with commercial instinct, demanding strong communication, proposal follow-through, and partnerships with delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in account management or ICT industry.
• Strong background in managed services or systems integration.
• Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts.
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives and technical teams.
• Solid commercial awareness with experience in solution selling.
• Experience managing quotations, proposals, renewals, and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and decision-makers across the portfolio.
• Act as a trusted technology advisor, understanding client goals and needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve or modernise client ICT environments.
• Develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and maintain a healthy pipeline.
• Manage quotations, proposals, renewals, and commercial discussions end to end.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, and project delivery teams to meet client requirements.
• Conduct regular service reviews and strategic account meetings.
