Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior HSE Manager for a fully remote role. You will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across operations, including the Stellenbosch region, shaping robust policies and fostering a proactive safety culture.

You will develop training programs, perform audits, and ensure adherence to HSE standards while driving continuous improvement in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably in heavy industry.
• Certifications such as CSP or NEBOSH are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management, and incident investigation.
• Proven ability to lead HSE strategies in a remote operating context.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or related heavy industry sectors.
• Professional certification (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management principles, and incident investigation techniques.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE strategies in a remote operational context.
