Job summary

Elchemie in Sunnyside (Pretoria) is seeking an Operational Leader for hotel housekeeping. You will direct shift activities, oversee room allocations and staff deployment, while maintaining strict hygiene and audit standards across areas.

You will mentor junior supervisors and cleaning staff, manage rosters, and liaise with the client’s executive team to ensure SLA compliance and cost controls. A Matric pass and hospitality experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 years of senior or lead supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping operations.
• Proven track record in leading teams, audits, room turnarounds and client communication.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards, chemical handling and inspection workflows.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee floor activities, staff deployment and handover across teams.
• Conduct high level room inspections and public area audits to enforce hygiene standards.
• Lead safety talks and ensure compliance with OHS guidelines; manage shift rosters.
