The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive health and safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and leading investigations into incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety management systems aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for all levels of employees.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.

• Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, communication, and visible leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in health and safety management, specifically within the mining sector.

• In-depth knowledge of South African mining health and safety legislation and standards.
