Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years in optimization-focused process engineering, and strong Python/R skills for remote, cross-site projects.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in process engineering focused on optimization and advanced control.
• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) and optimization tools.
• Strong data analysis skills; proficient in Python or R.
• Experience implementing APC solutions in industrial settings.
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration across locations including Polokwane.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement advanced process control (APC) strategies and optimization models.
• Collaborate with site engineers to troubleshoot complex process issues and implement solutions remotely.
• Utilize process simulation tools to model and test optimization scenarios.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports for global operations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to site personnel on optimization techniques.
