Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geologist to join our exploration team. The role focuses on identifying hydrocarbon targets, interpreting seismic data, logs and core samples to build subsurface models, while supporting development planning from a remote base near Port Elizabeth.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Geology or related Earth Science required.
7+ years of hydrocarbon exploration geology experience.
Proficiency in seismic interpretation and well log analysis.

Responsibilities

Interpret and integrate geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to create subsurface models.
Identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon exploration targets and development opportunities.
Conduct geological risk assessments and contribute to volumetric estimations.
Prepare detailed geological reports, presentations, and prospect evaluations.
Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geophysicists to develop integrated field development plans.
Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in geological exploration.
