Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geoscientist for a remote role, contributing to exploration and development initiatives in the Oil & Gas industry. Lead geophysical and geological data analysis, build models, and work with multidisciplinary teams to guide asset management and new ventures from anywhere globally.
Require a Master’s or PhD in Geology/Geophysics with 8+ years in oil & gas, seismic interpretation, and proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom Suite, and ArcGIS.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science field.
- 8+ years of professional geoscience experience in Oil & Gas exploration.
- Expertise in seismic interpretation, well correlation, and subsurface mapping.
- Proficiency with industry-standard geoscience software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite, ArcGIS).
Responsibilities
- Integrate and interpret diverse geological and geophysical datasets, including seismic, well logs, core data, and regional geological information.
- Develop and refine geological models and frameworks to support exploration and production activities.
- Conduct detailed prospectivity assessments and contribute to the evaluation of exploration opportunities.
- Collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers and geophysicists for integrated subsurface understanding.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and prospect evaluations for management review.
