Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to join our exploration team on a fully remote basis, serving projects across various regions. You will interpret geological data, identify hydrocarbon-bearing formations and support exploration strategy.

Collaboration with geoscientists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers is essential to assess prospectivity and de-risk opportunities. You will contribute to developing geological models, field studies, and data acquisition

Qualifications

Master's degree in Geology or related Earth Science field.
10+ years of exploration geology experience, preferably in oil & gas.
Proficient in seismic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, and basin analysis.
Proficient with Petrel, GeoGraphix and GIS toolsets.

Responsibilities

Interpret geological and geophysical data, including seismic, well logs, and core samples.
Develop geological models and maps to delineate potential reservoirs and structural traps.
Evaluate the prospectivity of new exploration areas and contribute to portfolio management.
Collaborate with the exploration team to plan and execute geological field studies and data acquisition programs.
Utilize geological software for data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Provide geological input for drilling operations and reservoir performance analysis.
