Placements24 is seeking a Senior Petroleum Geologist to join a remote-first exploration and production team. You will lead geological interpretations, develop subsurface models, and support drilling targets from a remote working setup.

The role requires 8+ years in petroleum exploration, MSc/PhD in Geology or Geophysics, and proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom, and Landmark. You will collaborate with engineers and geophysicists worldwide, mentor juniors, and contribute to diverse projects.

Qualifications

MSc or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science.
Minimum 8 years of petroleum exploration and basin analysis experience.
Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom, and Landmark.
Deep understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and sequence stratigraphy.
Proven track record of prospect identification and evaluation.
Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead geological interpretations of seismic, well log, and core data to delineate prospects and leads.
Develop and maintain geological models and subsurface maps for exploration and development assets.
Assess geological risks and uncertainties in venture evaluations and existing fields.
Contribute to planning and execution of drilling programs with real-time geological support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including geophysicists and reservoir engineers, regardless of location.
Mentor junior geoscientists and share knowledge across the organization.
