Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for Upington, Northern Cape to provide strategic financial insights. The role focuses on forecasting, budgeting, and collaboration with departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Economics, 5+ years in financial analysis, advanced Excel, and experience with FP&A tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CA, CPA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and financial modeling.
• Experience with FP&A software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations to management.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly performance reviews, P&L statements, and cash flow projections.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and perform due diligence on potential projects.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
