Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission new industrial machinery and associated control systems according to technical specifications and client requirements.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults on a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Provide on-site technical support and expert advice to clients, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to ensure installations meet safety standards and operational demands.
• Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide feedback on product performance and client needs.
• Train client personnel on the operation and basic maintenance of installed equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies during on-site visits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, specifically within the industrial machinery sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and PLC control systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in servo systems, robotics, and automated production lines.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within Midrand, Gauteng and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Trade Test).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
