Placements24 is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join our team in Midrand, Gauteng. You will lead on-site installations, maintenance and repairs of sophisticated industrial equipment, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, and provide client training and support.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in field service with relevant technical qualifications, a valid driver's licence, and readiness to travel within the Gauteng region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a field service technician role, preferably with industrial machinery.
• Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Valid driver''s licence and willingness to travel within the Midrand area and surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of complex industrial equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to guide repair and installation processes.
• Provide technical support and training to client personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Manage service calls, schedule appointments, and maintain detailed service reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to address customer needs and product feedback.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation and schematics.
• Strong understanding of diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Midrand and surrounding areas.
