Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to operate in a field-based role across the UK and Europe. You will perform installations, validations, and preventative maintenance on analytical instruments, provide onsite training, and ensure high-quality service documentation is maintained.

You will also promote service contracts and consumables to customers. The role requires travel across the UK, Ireland and Mainland Europe, with occasional field deployments for overseas sites.

Qualifications

• Performs field service including repairs, installation and validation.
• Provides onsite user training on defined product groups.
• Organizes routine maintenance on a monthly basis.
• Represents PerkinElmer for overseas service as needed.
• Keeps documentation up to date with quality management.
• Aligns work practices to department targets and demonstrates compliance.
• Maintains service spares and inventory records.
• Reports anomalies promptly and ensures test equipment is calibrated.
• Returns all completed service documentation weekly.
• May promote instruments, consumables and service contracts.

Responsibilities

• Performs field service as advised by dispatch, including repairs and installation.
• Provides on-site training for product groups.
• Schedules routine maintenance monthly.
• Repairs on behalf of PerkinElmer for overseas offices when required.
• Maintains up-to-date diagrams, bulletins and manuals.
