Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd in Johannesburg seeks a dynamic Sales Executive to drive revenue for Freight Forwarding and Clearing services. The role focuses on new business growth across air, sea and cross-border logistics, while nurturing existing client relationships and ensuring service excellence.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree (NQF 6+) in a relevant field with at least 10 years’ international freight forwarding sales experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6+) in Sales, Logistics, Marketing, or Supply Chain
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in international freight forwarding and clearing sales, with proven track record of client acquisition and retention

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities in line with the growth plan, targeting 8–10 new visits per week.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through market intelligence and networking.
• Present tailored logistics solutions and negotiate contracts within pricing and margin guidelines.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients, conduct regular reviews, and identify upselling opportunities.
• Achieve revenue and profitability targets and ensure accurate billing and timely collections.
• Capture and maintain all sales opportunities, pipeline data and client financials in the CRM.
