Job summary

The Beekman Group is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to manage and grow revenue across our Umhlanga resort operations. You will lead F&B and other hospitality outlets, ensure service standards, and supervise HR duties in a relatively remote location.

You will coordinate with departments, manage stock and procurement, and support the Resort Manager to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven F&B/Resort Management/Hospitality experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar Resort role including guest & staff relations and Administration, Budgeting and Operational Financial Management experience.
• Excellent understanding of all aspects of Hospitality Operations.
• Computer literacy skills including Microsoft programs, Point of Sale systems (GAAP experience would be preferential), Property and Revenue Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management and growth of revenues to meet or exceed budgets and lead operational efficiencies.
• Manage HR and specific HoD oversight of Food & Beverage and Convenience Outlets.
• Maintain service standards across service and property departments.
• Ensure clear communication among stakeholders, departments and external bodies.
• Monitor workplace relations and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
• Stay informed on local, national and international best practices in hospitality.
• Oversee procurement, supplier relationships and stock control, including regular stock takes.
• Address guest queries, requests and complaints and drive guest satisfaction metrics.
• Support the Resort Manager and oversee resort operations in their absence or with the Manager.
