About the Role

Our client, a luxurious beachfront resort located in Port Elizabeth, is seeking an experienced and visionary Food and Beverage Director to lead its diverse culinary and beverage operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing multiple restaurants, bars, banqueting facilities, and room service, ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality and service across all outlets. The F&B Director will be responsible for driving revenue, controlling costs, developing innovative menus, and maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for all Food & Beverage outlets to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee the daily operations of all F&B departments, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and room service.
• Create and implement innovative menus and beverage programs in collaboration with culinary and bar teams.
• Manage and control all F&B costs, including food, beverage, and labor, to achieve budgeted targets.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of F&B managers, chefs, and staff.
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service standards and guest experiences.
• Implement and maintain rigorous health, safety, and hygiene standards across all F&B operations.
• Develop and manage the annual F&B budget, including revenue forecasting and expense management.
• Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage management, with at least 4 years in a Director-level role within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple F&B outlets and driving revenue growth.
• In-depth knowledge of culinary trends, beverage management, and operational best practices.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in F&B management software and POS systems.
