Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a distinguished leader in bespoke culinary experiences and event management in Johannesburg to find a Senior Event Coordinator. You will oversee end-to-end event delivery, from concept through on-site execution, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to budgets.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in events, strong organizational and negotiation skills, and the ability to lead staff and vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in event coordination or management.
• Strong organizational, time management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate and manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, catering arrangements, and on-site execution.
• Develop detailed event timelines, project plans, and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and deadlines.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and expectations, providing expert advice and solutions.
• Oversee and manage a team of event staff and external contractors during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Conduct post-event analysis and reporting, identifying areas for improvement and client feedback consolidation.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and high-quality services.
