Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Thermal Management Engineer for a fully remote role. The candidate will design, analyze, and optimize thermal systems for EV/HEV components, leveraging thermodynamics and fluid dynamics to improve performance and longevity.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with at least 7 years in automotive thermal management and hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, and COMSOL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 7 years of automotive thermal management experience in EV/HEV systems.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced thermal management systems for EV batteries and powertrains.
• Perform thermal analysis using CFD/FEA tools to predict performance.
• Optimize designs to meet performance, cost and weight targets.
• Conduct validation testing of thermal components and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document requirements.
• Develop and maintain thermal system requirements and specs.
• Troubleshoot thermal-related issues and propose solutions.
• Stay updated with new thermal technologies and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
