Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Energy Storage Systems Engineer to join our Centurion team. You will lead design and deployment of cutting-edge battery energy storage solutions that enhance grid stability and enable renewable energy integration.
You will design ESS, model performance, procure components, and work with software teams to integrate control algorithms, while staying ahead of depth in battery tech and grid standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
- 7+ years in design, development, or deployment of energy storage systems or power electronics.
- Strong knowledge of lithium-ion and flow batteries and other storage technologies.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and grid-code compliance.
- Ability to manage complex technical projects and collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer integrated energy storage systems (ESS), including batteries, power conversion, and control software.
- Model and simulate ESS performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop technical specifications, procure components, and oversee assembly and testing of ESS prototypes and systems.
- Collaborate with software teams to integrate control algorithms and monitoring platforms for ESS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation, commissioning, and operation phases.
- Stay current with advancements in battery chemistry, power electronics, and grid-scale storage technologies.
