Placements24 seeks an accomplished Project Manager to lead large-scale energy infrastructure projects in Centurion, Gauteng. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on coordination of engineers, contractors, and consultants to deliver on time and within budget.

As a hybrid position, you will balance remote management with essential on-site visits at key milestones while driving safety, quality, and stakeholder engagement across government, communities, and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years in project management within energy/infrastructure.
• Experience managing budgets over R100 million.
• Experience with renewable energy projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee energy infrastructure projects from planning to closure.
• Develop budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement mitigations.
• Lead engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental standards throughout lifecycles.
• Manage stakeholder relationships including government and investors.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
• Facilitate project meetings and drive decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement in PM methodologies.
