Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer to join its remote legal team. The role focuses on advising on South African employment law, handling disputes, drafting contracts and policies, and ensuring BCEA/LRA compliance from anywhere within South Africa.

You will represent clients at CCMA, bargaining councils, and the Labour Court, guide disciplinary processes, retrenchments, and provide training, with a remote caseload and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with at least 6 years of dedicated employment law experience.
• Proven track record in handling complex employment disputes and litigation.
• Strong knowledge of the BCEA, LRA and related legislation; excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of South African employment law.
• Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, policies, and procedures.

• Ability to manage a remote caseload effectively and maintain strong client relationships.
