Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Services Engineer to join our Richards Bay team. You will lead electrical design for building services, mentor junior engineers, and ensure technical excellence across project lifecycles in industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong expertise in power distribution, lighting design, ELV systems, and regulations. You will collaborate with clients and designers to deliver high-quality solutions from concept

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of building services electrical systems and electrical design.
• Experience with SANS/regulatory compliance and building codes is essential.
• Leadership and mentorship能力 to guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for building services including power distribution and lighting.
• Develop detailed design docs, drawings, specs and calculations.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies and technical assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS and relevant codes.
• Manage electrical engineering aspects from concept to completion.
• Liaise with clients, architects, PMs and other consultants.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Review shop drawings and respond to site queries during construction.
• Support business development and tender activities.
