Placements24 invites an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our industrial projects team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role is hybrid, split between office work and site visits, and centers on designing electrical systems for large-scale industrial projects.

You will create schematics, perform load flow and protection calculations, select components, and document BOMs, collaborating with engineers and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial electrical system design.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, motor control, and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with relevant national and international electrical standards and codes.
• Good understanding of safety principles and practices in industrial environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and power distribution systems for industrial plants and equipment.
• Perform calculations for load flow, short circuit, grounding, and protection systems.
