Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our power generation team in Richards Bay. You will design, install, test, and commission electrical systems for large-scale plants, ensuring reliability and safety.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, at least five years in power generation or heavy industry, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, and PLCs. A commitment to safety and operational excellence is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years in power generation or heavy industry.
- Experience with DCS/PLC controls and high-voltage equipment.
- Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for power generation equipment.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot root-cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Develop electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with maintenance to plan preventative maintenance.
