Placements24 is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to support mining and energy operations in Rustenburg. You will design, install, and maintain electrical systems powering critical infrastructure, ensuring safety and compliance with SANS and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical engineering in industrial/mining or energy sectors preferred.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP) and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for mining equipment, power generation, and distribution networks.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical infrastructure and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical systems for safety and reliability.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure designs and installations comply with SANS and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers, on electrical aspects of projects.
