Placements24 is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a major mining operation in Mahikeng. The role focuses on reliable and safe functioning of electrical systems across power generation, distribution, and heavy machinery at a remote site.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of electrical experience, with at least 4 years in mining or heavy industry, and a strong background in HV/MV, motor control, and VSDs. On-site accommodation and meals are provided.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years electrical engineering experience, 4+ years in mining/heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of HV/MV systems, motor control and VSDs.
Mansioni
- Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems in a mining environment including generators, transformers, and switchgear.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for critical electrical assets.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults on heavy mining equipment, conveyors, and processing plants.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and mining standards.
- Manage electrical projects from design through commissioning.
- Provide technical guidance to electrical teams on site.
