Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Rustenburg to design, install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems for mining and energy infrastructure on-site. The role emphasizes safe, reliable power distribution and automation in demanding industrial environments.

You will develop drawings and documentation, ensure safety compliance, and lead maintenance programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support critical operations and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors preferred.
• Valid professional engineer registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for mining operations, including power distribution, motor control, and automation.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and prevent downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental policies.
