Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a mining operation in Bloemfontein. The role focuses on maintaining and upgrading electrical infrastructure, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and efficiency in a heavy industrial environment.

You will lead maintenance programs, diagnose faults, manage projects, and mentor a team of electricians. Pr. Eng. registration and 8+ years in mining or heavy industry are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Pr.Eng. registration is required.
• Minimum 8 years in electrical engineering with mining/heavy industry exposure.
• Experience with HV/MV systems, motors and PLCs.
• Strong safety and regulatory knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee maintenance and repair of all electrical systems in a mining environment.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical assets.
• Troubleshoot faults on complex machinery and power systems.
• Lead electrical projects, upgrades and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental policies.
• Mentor electricians and technicians; manage spares and procurement.
• Contribute to design/specification of new installations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers.
