Placements24 is seeking a Senior Educational Technology Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. The role focuses on integrating technology across educational programs, supporting LMS platforms, and guiding pedagogical best practices to boost student engagement and outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in edtech, strong LMS experience (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas), and proven ability to train and support diverse user groups.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant education/edtech field.
• Minimum 5 years in an educational technology role, preferably higher ed or K-12.
• Proven experience with LMS platforms (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas).
• Strong knowledge of pedagogical principles and how tech supports them.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement strategic technology plans for educational institutions.
• Provide expert guidance to educators on LMS, digital content, and software.
• Design and deliver PD workshops for faculty on edu tech trends.
• Evaluate and recommend new edtech tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure infrastructure supports tech deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware issues.
• Stay updated on edtech trends and digital learning developments.
• Contribute to digital learning resources and multimedia content.
• Manage projects related to edtech implementation and upgrades.
• Foster a community of practice among educators for tech integration.
