Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Educational Technology Specialist to join their Benoni team in Gauteng. You will drive the integration of cutting-edge learning tools, support educators and students, and collaborate with IT staff to ensure secure, effective digital learning.

This hybrid role offers on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, opportunities for professional development, and a clear path to help the institution enhance teaching and learning through innovative technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, IT, CS or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in educational technology support/integration.
• Experience with Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard and other ed-tech software.
• Strong pedagogy and ability to train diverse users.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, recommend and implement new educational technologies to support curriculum and engagement.
• Provide technical support and training on LMS, digital content, and software.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure integration, security and maintenance of ed-tech infra.
• Deliver professional development sessions for staff on tech integration.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize disruption to learning.
