Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Privacy Lawyer to guide the company through POPIA and GDPR in a remote-first setup. You will develop robust privacy strategies and implement policies across the organization.

You will partner with IT, compliance, and business leaders to ensure privacy by design, conduct DPIAs, manage data transfers, and train staff while monitoring global privacy developments.

Qualifikationen

• Admitted Attorney with extensive data privacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of POPIA and GDPR.
• Experience drafting privacy policies, notices, and DPAs.
• Proven ability to manage complex privacy programs and compliance initiatives.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain data privacy policies aligned with POPIA, GDPR and regulations.
• Conduct DPIAs and Privacy by Design reviews for new projects.
• Advise on data subject rights requests, data breach investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
• Provide guidance on data processing agreements and cross-border transfers.
• Develop and deliver privacy training across departments.
• Stay updated on evolving privacy laws and translate into business actions.
