Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Crypto Compliance Officer in Sandton, Gauteng, to ensure adherence to AML, KYC and CTF regulations. You will develop robust compliance programs, monitor risks, and liaise with regulators to maintain trust in our digital asset platform.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in compliance within financial services or crypto, with CAMS/CFE certifications as a strong asset. Collaborate across teams to implement training and stay ahead of evolving rules.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, preferably in financial services or cryptocurrency.
In-depth knowledge of AML, KYC, and CTF regulations and best practices.
Familiarity with the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem and associated risks.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain compliance programs related to AML, KYC, and CTF.
Monitor transactions and user activities for suspicious patterns and report accordingly.
Stay abreast of relevant local and international regulations impacting crypto industry.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
Act as primary contact for regulatory inquiries and audits.
Review new products for compliance before launch.
Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures.
