Placements24 is seeking a Lead Compliance Officer in Klerksdorp to lead and refine the company’s regulatory program. The position combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility to balance teamwork and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in financial services compliance, strong knowledge of AML/KYC and data privacy laws, and proven leadership in building compliant programs. The role involves mentoring staff and interfacing with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree or professional compliance certification desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal roles within financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of AML, KYC, and data privacy laws.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with all levels and stakeholders.
• Experience managing a compliance team is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in compliance software and standard office applications.
• Knowledge of the financial landscape in Klerksdorp, North West is a plus.
• High ethical standards and integrity.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance program.
