About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding digital asset exchange, is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Cryptocurrency Compliance Officer to join their team in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA . This role is critical in ensuring that our operations adhere to all relevant local and international regulations governing cryptocurrencies and digital assets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, regulatory frameworks, and risk management principles. You will work closely with legal, operations, and technology teams to navigate the complex regulatory environment and maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of our platform. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures for cryptocurrency operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or risk management role, preferably within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
• In-depth knowledge of AML, KYC, and CTF regulations and best practices.
• Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency market, blockchain technology, and digital asset regulations.
• Experience with compliance monitoring tools and technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
