Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cryptocurrency Compliance Officer in Polokwane, Limpopo to lead AML/KYC/CTF programs and develop robust compliance policies for crypto operations. You will perform risk assessments, oversee onboarding and monitoring, and stay current with evolving regulations to ensure a compliant digital asset platform.

The role requires 3+ years in compliance or risk management, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication to work with legal, operations, and tech teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in compliance, legal, or risk management in financial services or crypto.
• In-depth AML/KYC/CTF knowledge and applying regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies for crypto operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls for regulatory risks.
• Oversee KYC/AML/CTF programs including onboarding and monitoring.
• Stay updated on evolving crypto regulations locally and globally.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Provide staff compliance training and guidance.
• Manage relationships with third-party compliance providers.
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and escalations.
• Prepare regulatory filings and reports.
