The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and advising business units on regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in compliance, strong SA regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in a compliance role within financial services.
Thorough knowledge of South African financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance program.
Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.
Conduct compliance risk assessments and identify areas of potential vulnerability.
Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees.
Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to AML and KYC regulations.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities.
Advise business units on compliance-related issues and best practices.
Maintain compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
Act as a point of contact for regulatory inquiries and audits.
